KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday for a warm greeting on Ukraine’s Independence Day.“Thank you, Prime Minister @narendramodi, for hot greetings on Ukraine’s Independence Day. We appreciate India’s dedication for peace and dialogue, “Zelancesi said in a post on X.He added, “Now, as the whole world tries to end this terrible war with dignity and permanent peace, we rely on India’s contribution. Every decision that strengthens diplomacy leads to not only in Europe, but also Indo-Pacific and beyond that leads to better security.”Zelansky also posted a letter from PM Modi, in which the Prime Minister thanked him for his messages and kind wishes on the occasion of Independence Day of India.“I thank you for your thoughtful messages and compassionate desires on the occasion of India’s Independence Day,” Modi said in a letter addressed to Zelanski. “PM Modi also extended his greetings to the people of Ukraine on the occasion of his Independence Day. “I take this opportunity to expand your greetings to you and the people of Ukraine on the occasion of my Independence Day. I remember Kiev’s journey warmly in August last year, and since then India-Ukraine should pay attention to progress in bilateral relations. I am ready to work with you to strengthen our mutual beneficial cooperation.”Highlighting India’s commitment to peace, PM Modi said, “India has always stood in favor of peace. India is committed to enhance all possible support for honest efforts seeking initial, following and peaceful solutions of conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.”He further expressed his wishes for Zelansky’s health and welfare.
