An eight -year -old boy has been sexually harassed in his tent, holding a camp with his family in Highlands.
Police said that a person contacted the child in Loch Ness Bay CampSite in Drumnadrochit between midnight to 01:00 in the early hours of Thursday.
The suspect is described as a white person, whose age is at the age of 40 to 50 years, about 5 feet 10ins (1.78m) is tall and bald.
Comprehensive inquiry is going on, and experts are supporting the boy and his family.
Police Scotland confirmed that the boy was in a tent with his parents, which was in a separate tent next to him.
DET Inspector Christopher McLeod said that a dedicated team of officials was involved in the investigation and was questioning in the local area.
This included reviewing “all available” CCTV footage.
He said, “I would urge any person who can prove to be important, no matter how small or insignificant you think, as you think, to come forward in the Drumnadrochit area,” he said.
“Please think back – do you recognize anyone who matches the details of the suspect? Or did you see someone behaving in a strange way, gave a reason for anxiety, or littering in the area?
“I am eager to hear from any person who was driving in the area around the time of the incident and may have a dashed footage, or who has seen some suspects.
‘Troubled and worrying’
He said: “We understand that it will have a significant impact on the local community and I would like to thank everyone for their help till now.
“This incident will be very upset and worrying for the people living in this community and will ask anyone with any concern to talk to us.
“Please be convinced that this is an important investigation and a large police appearance in the area.
“This includes local division uniforms and plain-wearing officers. Any concern, or any person with information can contact these officers.”
