American players were allegedly abandoned after being subjected to racist abuse from home fans as a pre-season of Salaford City in York City.
Both teams were removed after 84 minutes and the game was closed shortly after.
The case is now being investigated by the National League Club York City and North Yorkshire Police.
“Salford City condemns racism in all forms, such behavior will protect and defend its players and employees, and condemn this evening behavior in the strongest possible words,” a statement by League to Side Slford said.
“We want to thank York City for our fast response to this phenomenon.”
A York’s statement described it as a “extremely disturbing evening”.
The statement said, “Whatever viewers have seen the events tonight, they should contact the North Yorkshire Police or York City Football Club as soon as possible.”
“Any supporter was found guilty of racial misconduct, facing the strongest possible sanctions from the club.”
