River Yamuna was seen flowing close to a warning mark in Delhi on Sunday morning when there was heavy rains in the city. The information of the old Yamuna Bridge, commonly known as the Lha Pulse, has shown that the river is flowing below the 204.20-meter mark.
Officials said the level of warning starts at 204.5 meters and the withdrawal starts at 206 meters.
A PTI report stated that in 2023, Yamuna reached an unprecedented level of 208.66 meters. Since this morning, the scene showed the river flowing close to the warning mark.
Officials said on Thursday, Yamuna allegedly rose a warning mark of 204.79 meters at 7 am to 204.50 meters and reached the highest level of the season so far amid the ongoing monsoon season and continuous rains.
The rising water levels in the Yamuna come in the midst of a constant mantra on the banks of their river in Uttarakhand before entering the plains.
Heavy rains in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand caused disastrous flash floods on August 5, in which many people lost their lives and many were injured.
Since the monsoon continues to sweep the country, the Ganges water is also facing a significant growth through its syllabus in some parts of Uttar Pradesh. Residents of Varanasi saw rapid waterlogging and disintegration in their daily lives, when Ganga was chopped in the city last week.
The water level of Saryu river is also increasing due to continuous rains in the city of Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh is facing continuous rains in many cities, causing waterlogging. ANI report,
The city of UP, the city of UP, Lucknow is also watching intense rainfall, causing waterlogging in many parts of the city. The monsoon has brought the same situation for other parts of Uttar Pradesh, which has flooded the river level.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday allegedly said that the water level in Yamuna has risen above the danger mark of 113 meters, reaching 117 meters in Auraiya district.
ANI quoted CM as saying, “In Auraiya district, the water level has reached 113 meters, reached 117 meters. Currently, 21 districts of the state have been affected by floods due to heavy rains.”
The Meteorological Department of India has today predicted partially cloudy sky, light rain and rainfall in different parts of Uttar Pradesh.
