Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday launched several information and communication technology (ICT) -Nabeld services. These include Digital Uttarakhand App, 66 websites safe, scalable, and Sugamya (S3WAAS) platform, a GIS-based web app for real-time tracking of waste collection vehicles in urban areas, AI innovation in 1905 cm helpline for increased civil service, AI innovation in 1905 cm helpline, and a web-based application for encroachment monitoring.CM announcements
- The next generation data center will be installed with a dedicated disaster recovery mechanism, to meet future challenges in Uttarakhand.
- To overcome future challenges, a “AI Mission” will soon be launched in the state, which will be developed as a “Center for Excellence”.
- Putting forward the concept of good governance, a next generation remote sensing and drone application center will be developed in the state.
- The government will work towards installing a dedicated IT cadre in the state.
CM Dhami said that Uttarakhand should be a beautiful hill state as well as a technological advanced state. For this, the state government is working on the mantra of “Hill to High-Tech”. “Today, five important IT initiatives have been initiated in the state. These innovations will not only improve the governance in innovations, but will also bring speed and transparency in various services. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, technology and innovation have expanded through the Digital India campaign. The state government is also making continuous efforts to feel the vision of the Prime Minister of Digital India. Through the Digital Uttarakhand app, people will be able to avail many government services from home, ending the need to visit government offices. This app will help in realizing the minimum government’s mantra of the Prime Minister – by enabling the government services more integrated, simple and accessible, as well as maximum governance by enabling easy monitoring of various activities, ”he said.CM said that 66 new government websites based on S3WAAS platform will publicly, immediately and transparently provide departmental information. The GIS-based web app will provide real-time monitoring of waste collection vehicles in urban areas. To prevent encroachment, citizens will be able to upload photos or videos of encroachment through a web-based app, on which the concerned department will check immediately and take necessary action. The entire process will be trackable online. He further stated that 1905 cm helpline is an important means of communication between citizens and the government. The AI-based features in this service will allow for auto-classification of complaints, rapid resolution and better follow-up monitoring.The Chief Minister highlighted that special priority is being given to initiatives like online education, e-health services and digitization of land records. Efforts are being made to provide several government services to the citizens from the comfort of their homes, through the e-District portal and CM Dashboard. Smart classrooms and e-learning platforms are being expanded for students, while telemedicine and e-sibed services are advising specialist doctors to citizens in remote areas.
