British number one Emma Redukanu won a comfortable victory over compatriot Mm Ju to progress in the second round in her “favorite tournament”, Wimbledon.
Redukanu rapidly won a 6-3 6-3 win against 17-year-old Zoo, making her first Grand Slam appearance.
Welsh teenager showed a glimpse of the ability that earned him a wildcard in this year’s main draw.
But Redukanu quickly settled in his rhythm in court and performed some free-hit style, which he enjoyed in grass-court warm-up events.
All the 22-year-old England club appeared unaffected by the still-swatting situations, as they aim to be better in the fourth round of the previous year.
“It’s really good to come back. I just use it [expectation] As support and I like it, “he said.
“This is my favorite tournament, so I am very happy to get another match here.”
Vijay comes after a successful inauguration day for British players, winning Son Kartal, Arthur Perry, Cameron Nori, Billy Harris and qualifier Oliver Tarvet.
The Sterner Test waited to Redukuanu with a meeting against former Wimbledon Champion Marketa Wondrasova in Round Two, but she smiled and celebrated the house with a crowd after wrapping the victory.
