Jagdeep Dhankhar intensified after the sudden resignation of India’s next vice -president, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said on Sunday that the result has been decided by all, and it is clearly in favor of the ruling BJP -led NDA.
Talking to reporters, Tharoor said, “We all know that it will be someone who nominates the ruling party, as we already know the composition of voters.”
He said, “We hope they will consult the opposition too, but who knows?”
Kerala MPs are making headlines for the information of friction with their party Congress, especially for a multi-party delegation by the Modi government, to take India’s anti-terrorism message abroad after the Pahgam terror attack against Pakistan under Operation Sindoor and India’s strike.
The Congress excepted the way it was chosen without asking the party; And then to praise him for Modi on that visit to America and other countries.
Despite being a minister in a former global diplomat and Congress -led UPA government before Narendra Modi came to power, his party did not list him as a president when Parliament argued over Operation Sindoor in the last week.
Tharoor simply said “silent” (pledge of silence) when it was asked not to be among the speakers.
Jagdeep Dhankhar suddenly resigned amid the debate – the reasons are still a matter of speculation – the election is required.
Talking about the mechanics of the Vice Presidential election, Tharoor said that, unlike the President’s vote, which includes state assemblies, the vice -president is chosen only by the members of Parliament.
Despite the clear numerical edge of the NDA, he said that he hoped the opposition will also be consulted in the process.
Vice president election
The election for the post of Vice President will be held on 9 September and is ready for a deep competition with the Congress -led protest, which is likely to take a general candidate to take to the BJP -led NDA, which has numbers.
If necessary, the voting will be held on September 9 between 10 am and 5 pm on the first floor of Parliament House, F-101, Vasudha. The results will be announced on the same day.
On July 21, Jagdeep Dhankhar’s surprising resignation first marked that an uplable had stepped into the mid -term and did not search for a high position. At the time of his resignation, Dhankhar had a term of over two years left.
