After a visit to the water park, a multi-agency investigation is going on under the circumstances around the death of a four-year-old girl.
Girl Death in hospital Staffordshire police said that after an incident at the Waterworld in Festival Park, Stoke-On-Trent, on Monday, around 16:20 BST, Staffordshire police said.
Outside the honor of the girl’s family, the attraction remained closed on Tuesday, stating that she was found unconscious in the lagoon area of her Aqua Park.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council confirmed that its environmental health team was working with the police and the site to “a complete health and safety check”.
Stoke-on-Tant’s Lord Mayor Steve Watkins said: “We were all destroyed to hear about the death of a four-year-old girl in the Waterworld.
“This is a terrible tragedy and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.”
The Waterworld said on Monday that the lifeguards and management teams performed CPR on the girl before the arrival of emergency services.
All visitors were asked to leave the pool during the rescue operation, said a company spokesman.
Staffordshire Police Deit Cha Inspector Lucy Muskue said that the officials were interrogating and urged people not to speculate about the incident.
The force asked anyone who saw the incident or had knowledge to call 101.
