This week there was a good news outside the country’s capital, a report that Washington’s NFL team’s owner seriously considering the demand to restore President Donald Trump’s name “Redskins”.
It was returned in 2020, one year old and bizarre social madness, that Redskins became the Washington Football Team, and eventually the commander, out of the concern that “Redskin” is an aggressive term. Never focus on the fact that voting after voting shows that real American Indians have no objection to this.
Trump is afraid
It was not just redskins. In view of the 2020 awake madness, the idols were topped across the country. Of course, it began with confederate monuments, which were low -hanging fruits, but soon sculptures of Christopher Columbus and Teddy Roosevelt were also falling.
Perhaps the best, or the worst, the example was to remove the liberation memorial in Boston. It was an idol of Abraham Lincoln, freeing a slave in 1879, whose design was literally paid by free slaves.

In Boston, the inter -priest Habris, who thought they better knew how to celebrate the end of slavery compared to the real slaves, shows why the monuments and names excited by Voksness would have to be returned.
Left -wing firmly believes that the arc of history bends towards their preferences, and that “social justice” is a kind of kind of literal, that their victory cannot be undone. But in fact, there is no reason that we have to accept it.
2020 showed us that the icoclastic impulse is unquenchable to destroy images and symbols of a society. Some soon ruin a holy idol, as they go to the next and next one, until mothers are called birth members.
Whether there was any rational process in 2020, to determine what the monuments should live or go, we may be able to compromise on the most suspect: Cleveland Indians and Nathan Bedford Forest are not the same.
But this did not happen. Instead, we saw mass hysteria from crowds, state and corporations. First pull the idols down, never ask questions, it was the order of the day.

This is why, for Americans to really heal from the wound which was 2020, not only its avalanche, but also the Dracian Kovid Lockdown with it, we need to hit and bring back the reset button that we had destroyed carelessly.
Five years from now, a chili on Sunday, with his team losing to Eagles, should be able to say this to Washington fans, “Remember how we stopped calling them Redskins? It was stupid,” and knows that a wrong is right.
Similarly, if on a spring day in Gotham, New Yorker can once again tip his hat in a once again-topped teddy frost statue, then they will also know that we are the creators of history, not only with passengers for indispensable Marxist rides.
The request to destroy monuments and names is not new. In ancient Egypt we call it Lanto Memoria when a Fara scratched it as an predecessor. In the Middle Ages, we call it iconoclasm, and it distinguishes Christianity.
The traves of knowledge and artistic treasure have been destroyed by people with well -intentions of the past, who only knew deeply, that they had to protect not only their contemporaries, but to destroy all humanity, which they had seen as aggressive.

Today, we have an option. 2020 was only 5 years ago. We can still restore what was lost, yes, even the General Lee statue in Richmond, and then, perhaps, enter some rational process to decide whether, if any, if any, history we want to deprive future generations.
The message needs to be clarified that when mistakes are made, our society can go back and go back. The way we went back from the “progressive” policy of women to play in the game, we can go back when we respected the past, rather than hate it and remove it.

2020 was almost immense destruction, loss of life, loss of freedom, and one year of loss of historical monuments and names, but often, the renewal out of destruction increases, and the owner of the destruction, as Trump currently says, the Washington Waitors have a chance to bring that renewal.
So also for Redskins, and Roosevelts and Lincoln. Neela to Columbus and its oceans. This is our history, and it is time for us to recover it.
