A walker has been seriously injured in a decline of 100 meters (330 ft) in the lake district.
The man, who was with his son, got stuck with a swirral age from the Hellevlene to the red tarn on the descendants shortly before the BST on Saturday.
A coastgard helicopter was able to win Medics for casualties and was flown into the major trauma unit at the Royal Preston Hospital after being placed on a stretcher.
