Mountain rescue volunteers have said that a walker died after falling over a waterfall in Peak district.
Kinder Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) said it was called Kinder Downfall on Monday 30 June, in which the walker fell.
A week later in a post on social media, the organization said it participated in the scene, but found that it could not escape the fall.
It said that the Derbyshire police had requested that they regain it from the waterfall basis.
A coastguard helicopter was called to assist in a 10-hour operation, which was also attended by Buxon Mountain Rescue’s drone team and Glosop Mountain Rescue Team Volunteers.
The KMRT post said: “When the helicopter arrived, the situation proved to be very challenging to win directly from the downfall base.
“So the team took a difficult stretcher to a lower place, where it could be collected by a helicopter and flew on our vehicles.
“It was a 10-hour incident included in all.
“We want to thank the group of walkers who called the incident to help them. The team would like to express our honest condolences to the walker’s family.”
