A doctor says that he feels “helpless” because he waits to listen to his elderly father and sister in a war -torn Gaza.
Dr living in Swanasi. Ahmed Sabra has not talked to his family for two weeks, and said that he was struggling to find medicine for his niece, who had type 1 diabetes.
The United Nations believes that there is increasing evidence of famine and widespread starvation in Gaza.And blames the crisis on Israel, which controls the entry of all supply into the region.

Cardiologist Dr. Sabra, who was born in the region, but now lives with his wife and children in Swanasi’s skatti, said he was “very passionate” when he last spoke to his 75 -year -old father.
“This was the first time he told me that it is very difficult and not enough food,” he said.
“They lost 30kg (4st 10lbs) since the beginning of all this, and he is now almost skin and bone, which is difficult for me as a doctor. I can’t help my family.”
He said that he mostly talks to his relatives on WhatsApp, but listening to him was a “waiting game” due to incredible connections.
“Internet network cover is very bad, sometimes you can not even call.
“One of the most difficult times is when there is a total blackout, which happened for some time. Then you do not know anything.”
He said that he found it “unfair” that his father was living in a war -torn area.
“He is someone who really worked hard throughout his life and was helping the needy and the poor. And now he is in a position where he is struggling to find clean water.”
Dr. Sabra’s sister has 12 -year -old twins, and one of the girls has type 1 diabetes.
He said that in one of the last messages she received from her sister, she told her that she was the only insulin she managed to find.
“Last week she sent another message, told me that her daughter’s blood sugar was very low and she was just running on the road, screaming for anyone, who has some sugar.
“A neighbor gave her a small sugar container, which she managed to give her daughter. So even the basic things, it is no longer present.”
He said: “My sister told me that being hungry is worse than a bombing and killing at once, because she is hungry to her children and she cannot provide for them.
“One kilo of flour is 200 times more expensive than a year ago.”

The spokespersons of the Israeli government had earlier stressed that there was no restriction on the aid delivery and it was said that there was “no starvation” and repeatedly accused Hamas of stealing assistance.
He has also refused to target the assistance distribution centers during the attacks.
