New Delhi: India Block on Monday announced a plan to march from Parliament to the Election Commission office, attracted a response from the Delhi Police, who said no permission was sought for protest.Police officials clarified that no formal request or application was received for the demonstration.The opposition coalition had said that March was to oppose the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the pole-bound Bihar and was allegedly “voter fraud” in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.On Sunday, Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that India block MPs had marched from Parliament to the Election Commission office to register their protest. At a press conference, he alleged, “All booth level officers (BLos) were filling ‘fake forms’ in a room.”Singh further said, “Rahul Gandhi had put up such facts that no one could deny … One person’s name appeared in many places, including voting booths … Rahul Gandhi’s demand was for electronic data of voter list, which could be scanned using software for sleeping on a single epic number. Bihar, but this time he wanted to do it in 1 month.,He said, “All blossoms were filling fake forms in a room. The Election Commission said that so many people had died, but their list was not provided … and except BJP and NDA coalition MPs from all parties, MPs from all over India coalition marched from Parliament to the Election Commission office …”The march was announced after Rahul Gandhi’s press briefing in which he made serious allegations against the pole body.On 1 August, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju replied, the government had opened for discussion, but not on the head. “I want to clarify that the government is ready to discuss any issue according to the rules. The head cannot be discussed because it is a process done by a constitutional body, and this is not happening for the first time …” he told ANI.
