New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi continued his fast criticism of the Election Commission (EC) for the second consecutive day. On Friday, he released a new video, once again accused of serious irregularities in conducting elections across the country. In the video, Rahul Gandhi, questioning the credibility and neutrality of the Election Commission, cited several state elections to support his claim of “Vote Chori” (vote theft).Sharing a video on X, Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Vote theft is not just an election scam, it is a major betrayal of the constitution and democracy.”He said, “Those who do wrong things of the nation have to hear this – time will change, the punishment will definitely be fulfilled,” he said.He said that during various state elections, the Congress and the Bharat Block felt a kind of “public mood” on the ground, but the results are “completely different” reflected, which increases doubt about the fairness of the process.Reiterating his previous claim about Maharashtra, Rahul alleged that between the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, a large number of “new voters” appeared magically, and “he voted for the BJP.”He further claimed that when the leaders of India held a press conference on the Maharashtra assembly results, they requested the EC to provide voter list and video footage, but the pole body refused. This, he said, raised serious questions – “Is EC helping BJP?”Rahul’s latest video follows his detailed press briefing on Thursday, where he highlighted a presentation described as serious issues in the election process. He alleged that the Election Commission “collided with the BJP to win the Maharashtra election.”In that briefing, he also questioned the EC in many cases, including alleged duplicate votes, fake or invalid addresses, unusually registered at the same address, and misuse of Form 6, which is used for new voter registration.
