Throughout the BBC, we are hearing about their lives from people in Gaza as food supply is banned for malnutrition and starvation.
The BBC is not allowed to report from inside Gaza – because the Israeli government will not allow us – so we rely on reliable freelancers to provide us content. But this week’s news organizations – including the BBC – warned that lack of food means that those freelancers are unable to feed themselves and their families.
The Israeli government which controls the entry of all supply into Gaza – says that starvation is not their fault and blames Hamas for stealing food. Most international aid organizations say it is Israel that is failing the population. Israeli has a legal responsibility to protect the population from hunger and starvation as a power occupied under international law.
We have collected stories of some people who have talked to us and images from the week – this report has images of malnourished children.
