New Delhi: Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday offered Prime Minister Narendra Modi an olive branch as he said that the dragon and elephant should come together as the world is going towards change.In his initial comment during a delegation level conversation with PM Modi, Xi said, “The world is going towards change. China and India are the two most civilized countries.”He said, “We are the two most populous countries in the world and are part of the global South … friend, a good neighbor, and coming together with a dragon and elephant,” he said.The Chinese President also highlighted that this year is a symbol of the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of China-India and said that the two countries need to handle a strategic and long-term perspective.Xi Jinping said, “We should also pursue our historical responsibilities to maintain more democracy in multiplicity, a multi -polar world, and international institutions and work together for peace and prosperity worldwide.”Meanwhile, PM Modi said that India is committed to pursue its relations with China on the basis of mutual trust, respect and sensitivity.PM Modi said that welfare of 2.8 billion people is connected with bilateral cooperation between India and China. The Prime Minister said that there is peace and stability This comes when PM Modi is on his two -day visit to China to attend the Shanghai Corporation Organization Summit in Tianjin. This is PM Modi’s first visit to China in seven years, which has seen relations between two neighboring countries deteriorating on border issues, causing a deadly struggle in the Galvan Valley with a line of real control in eastern Ladakh. After a visit to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi India, there was a consensus between the two countries on 10 points.The two countries also agreed to establish two groups to resolve border disputes between India and China.Earlier, Dowal and Wang co-chair the 24th round of dialogue of special representatives on Seema Question.The two sides agreed to reopen the business through three nominated pass-lipulekes, Shipki La, and Nathu La–to promote economic activity across the border.The Chinese Ambassador also said that the relationship between the two countries should not be defined from the border issue.“We should not define the issue of border as a relationship between our two countries. The border issue is on one side, and cooperation between India and China is on the other side,” he said.
