Two Virginia parents are alleging that their three Jewish children were expelled from an aristocratic private school as they had complained about an antisemic bullying directed on one of their sixth grade daughters.
Nysmith School for Gifted in Harden, Virginia – which was awarded back to claims since Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth in 2015 – has since been pushed back to claims.
A complaint filed with civil rights of Virginia Attorney General’s office alleged that three Jewish children of Brian Wazequse and Ashok Roy were expelled from Nismith School on 13 March because “he complained about the school’s reluctance to respond to his 11 -year -old daughter’s oppression.”
The filing included a picture of a group of children having a large cartoon drawing to portray Adolf Hitler. It was part of a social study class project in which students were assigned to draw a holistic attract of the “strong historical leader”.
The complaint stated, “The school had allowed the anti-Jewish to take roots in its classroom.” “The picture, which is characterized by Adolf Hitler’s infallible face, was shared with the entire school community. After this there was a pattern of constant and serious anti -sematic harassment of the young daughter of the complainants.”

Parents say that they met the school owner and headmaster, Kenneth Nismith, that her daughter was “harassed and harassed because she is Jewish, with a continuous taunt on October 7, 2023, over 1,200 Israel and 251 deaths about Hamas terrorist attacks, as she was dying.
The sixth grade girl told her parents that the children had placed the stickers of Palestine on school-made laptops and lockers, and pointed to her stickers and taunted her to be “Israel”.
“In front of his classmates, the bullying children saw their daughter, and called the killers of the Jews’ child,” and said that they are worth dying because of what is happening in Gaza, “the complaint says. “Pointing to other children, bullies told their daughter that everyone in school is against Jews and Israel, which is why they hate you.”
Parents alleged, “Nismith promised to take action – but did nothing.” “A few weeks later, Mr. Nismith decided to hang a Palestinian flag at Nismith School Gym, his daughter’s harassment became more serious.”
After telling the headmaster that his daughter’s harassment was very bad, parents claim that Nismith “asked her to ‘strict’ her daughter and ended the meeting suddenly,” the complaint said.
Two days later, the complaint is alleged, nysmith “vengeance-one email informs the complainants that the three children were immediately expelled effectively before their mid-season report card, and long after the application period for other local schools.”
The complaint stated that the couple’s children, now an 8 -year -old son and two -12 -year -old daughters, were nominated in school since 2021, were high achievers and had no prior disciplinary action.
Jeffrey Lang, a family counsel for the Brandis Human Rights Center, told Fox News Digital in an interview that his “real concern is an example of normalization in our society.”
Harandon provided by Headmaster Ken Nismith, Va. A picture of the gym at Nismith School for Gifted in.
“This is not a college campus. It is not a road opposition. It is a primary school. And it is a worrying tendency,” Lang said. “Because it should be a case of moral outrage, and clearly, the acknowledgment by the school is that it has disappeared. And I am expecting its commitment to improve things, not to double our parents and somehow come to guilty and come with an excuse that tells that the stabbing of Jewish children is that what is happening in any way because what is happening in the gazel.”
Lang said, “The reason for meeting him is that he loved school and he wanted him to address antisementary bullying so that his child could be happy in that school. There was never a matter to leave,” Lang said. “I think when a child is being harassed, and they are in a school care, the school is going to support and assist. Do not expel the whole family after two days.”
“This is a teaching moment and Mr. Nismith is not yet fulfilling that moment,” he said.
Arrived by Fox News Digital, the school headmaster pushed back the allegations of wrongdoing, and said that the picture of Hitler’s cartoon drawing is being taken out of the context. ”
“It was a social study project that researched the seven symptoms of The Prince of McIveli,” Nismith said to Fox News Digital in an email. “Interestingly, I received an email from a parent yesterday, expressing displeasure about one of the children who had misrepresented the project. His child chose Hitler, he is Jewish, and the child’s grandmother is a holocost man. It was not anti-semitic.”
Nysmith provided a picture of the school gymnasium, adorned with flags that represent the diverse heritage of our students. He said that the school has received requests from families for additional flags whose background was not represented: one to represent Poland, the other to represent Palestine. The headmaster insisted that the flag of Israel is in front of the American flag.
“Although I can’t discuss the family exclusively, I could say that the character depiction was not accurate,” Nismith said to Fox News Digital in email. “If a family feels that their child cannot go to a gym that has a Palestinian flag, it is a problem. If a family cannot work with school in a collegium, creative manner, they cannot stay in school.”
In response, Lang told Fox News Digital that “there was no complaint about hanging the Palestinian flag,” and that the family “anxiety” was the school refusal to address the bullying. ”

The family counsel continued, “This is not the most disturbing to me. It’s not difficult, right?” And when we are talking about an 11 -year -old girl, it is not true.
Nysmith also denied that he ever asked Wazkease and Roy to “strict up” to his daughter-arguing that the allegation “a lie, pure and bold has been made.,
“I have never used that phrase with any child or adult in my life,” Nismith said in an email. “I have three types and sensitive children, and I will never use the word or anything that expresses that idea, nor will anyone be on our employees.”
“We have not seen an increase in antisementism in school and many of our Jewish families have written to me since Media Blitz to express the support of the school,” Nismith said. “Surely there are sensitivity, such as we were with our Muslim students after 9/11. Our environment is about inclusion and acceptance to all. Did the family mention the wealth of our community for the people affected by the October 7 attack? We did.”
Nysmith provides a copy of a message that the headmaster sent to the school community “proud of the diversity, which has defined us, our families come from all corners of the world, representing a wide spectrum of cultures, religions and attitudes.” He told the school community, “This diversity can sometimes make our community complex and emotional, especially during emotional international events such as October 7 attack and violence in Gaza. We are students and families related to both sides of the heart, and we are committed to ensure that our school remains a safe, respectable and imperialist place for all.”
“Children are still learning how to navigate differences and feelings.” He has written. “Sometimes they make mistakes and say ruthless things. When this happens, we use this moment to teach this moment.
The complaint alleged that Nismith School for the gift attached to the illegal anti -sematic discrimination and vengeance and violated the Virginia Human Rights Act.
Virginia’s Attorney General Jason Miares, whose office is investigating the complaint, had earlier told Fox News that “what is allegedly alleged is beyond harassment,” and, while pre -Kishore students have been included in the trial, “The level of harassment of Jewish students in our college premises is now falling down to A -2.”

Miares told Fox News last week, “If it is true here, it is true, it fully fulfills that definition of violation of the Virginia Human Rights Act,” Mieres told Fox News last week. “We want not every student in Virginia look at his shoulder in fear.

“I want to be clear: Virginia is not New York,” said Miares. “We have a magnificent governor in the village Youngkin, we knew from the first day. We saw images that took place in Colombia, and we said that it is not going to happen in Virginia. We have a very different governor and clearly a very different attorney general that you have in these other states.”
“We want to protect our students, and so we have no tolerance for any school, whether it is college campus or it is K -12, which is especially targeting Jewish students,” he said.
