According to Jalgaon Collector Ayush Prasad, 16 persons of Jalgaon district of Maharashtra are unaware after CloudBust starting with flash floods in Dharli area of Uttarakhan in Uttarakashi’s Dharli area in Uttarakhand.
Giving an update on the situation, Prasad said, “It has been reported that 19 people in Jalgaon district are in Uttarkashi, out of which contact with three people has been established. Contact has not yet been made with 16 people.”
He said that both Maharashtra government and Jalgaon district administration are actively coordinating with Uttarakhand government and Uttarkashi district officials to find out the missing persons.
He said, “The Maharashtra government and the district administration have tried to contact the Uttarakhand government and the Uttarkashi district administration. We are receiving full support from the Uttarakhand government.”
Tiger flash flood by a cloudburst in the mountainous region of Dharli in Uttarkashi caused a sudden increase in water level, damage to infrastructure and disrupt road connectivity in affected areas.
