New Delhi: During its recent visit to Ladakh, the Dalai Lama said that India provides an “independent and rich environment” for the study of the most intensive philosophical teachings of Buddhism, while also highlights the lack of religious freedom in China, ANI quoted a statement of the Dalai Lama office.ANI said, “Tibet has declined in Tibet,” who fled in India have got the responsibility of preserving these traditions, “he said, as quoted by ANI,” ANI said.In 1959, reflecting his exile from Tibet, the Dalai Lama expressed deep gratitude to the Tibetan refugees for their “immense support” and “tremendous assistance”. He said that this support continued to revive the Math dwellers and continue the practice of the central scholars for Buddhist philosophy.Attracting a clear contrast between India and China, the Dalai Lama criticized China’s political control over religion, saying that such an atmosphere hinders real spiritual development.“Unlike China, where religious freedom is severely restricted and political control weakens real spiritual teaching, India provides an independent and rich environment for the study of the deepest philosophical texts of Buddhism, including the middle path (middle) and argument (Pramana), which is not in China. He further praised the lively monasteries of India, where the rich tradition of dialectical debate and educational rigor of Tibetan Buddhism continues. Students, he said, actively engaged in philosophical discussions that promote both insight and compassion. The Dalai Lama also pointed to the shared language, culture and Buddhist heritage of the Himalayan region and Tibet, given that Indian institutions play an important role in preserving and spreading authentic religion. This statement has come in the midst of a discussion between India and China about the Dalai Lama’s successor. The Dalai Lama recently underlined its succession plan, making an announcement that a non-profit organization, the Gaden Fodrang Trust, which he established, holds the only right to recognize his future rebirth. However, China rejected the proposal of the Tibetan spiritual leader. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said that the selection should go through a process approved by Beijing. In response to China’s position, Union Minister for Union Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, an exercise Buddhist, emphasized that the decision is completely with the Dalai Lama and traditional Buddhist customs.Speaking at the birthday celebration for the Tibetan spiritual leader in Dharamshala on 5 July, Rijiju said, “The Dalai Lama Institute is purely religious and the Government of India believes that there should be no intervention in religious affairs … I would like to wish to stay their purity for a long time … We can wish them to be healthy, so that I can benefit them so that I can benefit my wisdom.,
