Britain’s largest householders have agreed to pay £ 100 meters to affordable homes to avoid the decision of a regulator whether they have broken the competition law.
Seven firms have also agreed not to share commercially sensitive information such as how many houses have been sold for “in limited circumstances”.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation last year as to whether the housebuilders exchange of information, such as pricing and upgraded kitchen or stamp duty contribution to buyers such as incentives.
The Watchdog said that if it accepts the proposal of the firms, it would mean “it is not necessary for the CMA to decide that the housebuilders broke the competition law”.
