The Ambassador of the United Kingdom in the United States Peter Mandelson feels that the super bowl should be held across the pond.
Mandelson said that last week he has been lobbying since playing a role in February for the biggest sports program in the US hosted by the UK.
“I have made a big pitch for the first super bowl outside the US to be in Britain,” Mandelson told Chicago Council on Global Affairs on Thursday, Per c-span,

“I want that super bowl in Britain. I don’t care when it happens, but I want it to be announced as ambassador during my time. We love it, we love it.”
The audience laughed at Mandelson’s comment, but he is not the only one in his country who wants to see a super bowl in the UK.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has also invited his city to host Super Bowl, which believes that he believes that London will be united as the “sports capital of the world”.
“Super Bowl is really important to us,” Khan said last year. “We have many American football games, and I want it to come here because we want American sports fans to come to London to come to London, not just to go to America.”

NFL has been playing a regular-season game in London since 2007, which begins with the first official sport held outside North America. Nearly two decades later, the League continued its international push, including two games at the famous Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in October this season.
Since its construction in 1967, the Super Bowle has always been in the United States. The event is to be played in 2026 at the Santa Clara, the House of San Francisco 49ers in California, Levi’s Stadium.

It has also been decided that the Super Bowl played in 2027 will be held at the Sophie Stadium in LXI, Inlewood, California, followed by Super Bowl LXII at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
