Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai are explaining how new drivers are trained in Emirates through an integrated digital platform called ‘Tadribe’. Designed to enhance safety standards and to streamline the licensing process, the platform brings together state-of-the-art technology, AI-operated systems, and complete digital integration at all driving institutions in Dubai.
A centralized, digital ecosystem for driver training
‘Tadribe’ acts as an integrated platform that connects every licensed driving institute in Dubai. This driver refers to the full cycle of training and qualification – from onboarding to evaluation – and centrally centralizes all trainee data in a system. The initiative led by the RTA’s licensing agency allows for the real-time automation of assessment, fully paperless operations and geo-track training sessions. Each training vehicle is connected to the system via GPS, enabling the monitoring of the vehicle electronic route. The platform is operated in over 27 driving institute locations, supported by over 3,400 trainers and more than 3,000 training vehicles. An annually, the platform handles training for approximately 250,000 trainees, which log in to the instructions of over six million hours. Since its launch, it has worked without safety issues and has greatly optimized the efficiency and stability of driver education in the city.
AI and data -powered insight to increase standards
The original of ‘Tadribe’ lies in its intelligent use of artificial intelligence to analyze the trainee data and identify personal needs. This targeted approach ensures that each learner receives proper, high quality instructions based on performance trends and behavioral insights. The integrated dashboard training of the platforms provide real -time visibility in the trainer compliance and operating matrix. These devices have supported average reforms:
- Assessment transparency and accuracy
- Training quality and stability
- Inspection of governance and training process
Performance Evaluation Criteria and Service Transactions – such as permits and training contracts – are completely automated and integrated with relevant officers. Due to this automation:
- 50% reduction in waiting time to issue permit
- Low operational cost
- Remote monitoring through smart licensing center
- 97% compliance between trainers with compulsory training stages
Recognition and global verification
‘Tadribe’ has gained significant recognition on the international stage. It is the world’s first driver training platform, which is official recognition from the International Driver Testing (CIECA) – a global body that focuses on the driver testing standards.Additionally, in 2025, the forum was awarded the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, which was a will for the impact on road safety and innovation in training distribution.
Sustainable vision for the future of driver training
Further, the RTA plans to expand the capabilities of the tadribe platform by increasing the customer experience through the AI Tool, extending data usage for personal learning paths and continuing the automation of training inspection. The purpose of these future developments is to ensure long -term stability, improving safety results for new drivers and further aligning Dubai’s driver qualification structure with global best practices.RTA is committed to working with strategic partners and maintaining strict security and compliance standards in all stages of driver training and licensing.
