Many people participating in a new Elvis Emergent experience in London have told the BBC that they are extremely upset, a fan said it is “one of the most misleading shows that I have ever seen”.
Elvis Evolution, created by Lear Reality, was declared in January 2024 and was then advertised as a concert experience which would “” “”.Use AI and facilitates Hallographic Estimates of Star “It will include a “life-size digital elvis that will first demonstrate iconic moments in music history on the UK platform”.
But some attendees say that the show, for which the tickets are from £ 75 to £ 300, had no holograms of Elvis and resulted in stated that they have understood and sold incorrectly.
A spokesman for layered reality said: “Due to the initial announcement made in January 2024, they were expecting a hologram concert, expecting a hologram concert. With several complex presentations, which are in two years of construction, the concept developed from the early stages, and it became clear when the tickets went on sale on sale in October 2024.
“We eventually took a constructive decision to not mimic Elvis’s performance. Those moments proved to be very iconic and irreparable. Instead, we use AI in Uchive Archive footage and in those moments we know that there was no footage that offers a new lens in their world.”
He said the show was equally praised by fans and new people and “overwhelmed by” response, many people told it fun, immersive and vice versa that he has seen earlier “.
This experience begins by taking fans on a trip to the youth of Elvis, which we learn from his childhood friend Sam Bell. After an interval in an aerial-theme bar with Elvis’s cardboard cut-out, ticket-holders find themselves as members of the audience at the 1968 return special concert which was performed live on NBC.
Elvis Evolution, which was opened for a six-month run on Friday, costs £ 75 for a standard ticket and £ 300 for a super VIP option, including a mid-show champagne experience, memorial glass, dedicated seating space, three times and each of the Clockroom Access.
‘Absolutely tyrannical’
Mark and Tracy Baldwin had VIP tickets for the show, but have been felt “more like Mugs than VIPs”. Mr. Baldwin told the BBC that he feels “disappointed, disappointed and angry on organizers”. Mrs. Baldwin said the show was “absolutely tyrannical” and thought that she had paid the money for one time in a lifetime experience, but “you could see it in the local theater for £ 30”.
“It was a hut from beginning to end, there was no Elvis, it was just a video of it that you could watch on YouTube,” she said.
During the second Act, she claims, unhappy people were leaving the show early and they feel that the layered reality has exploited the older people and “taken us to a fool that is scammed us with technology that we will not understand”.
Baldwins said that customers should be refunded and layered reality should apologize for “breaking people’s dreams”.
The spokesperson of a layered reality said: “While we understand that expectations can be shaped compared to other forms, we are proud of what is created and how it is re -connecting people with Elvis in a bold and meaningful way.
“Elvis Evolution is not a traditional concert or hologram show. It is a major scale, dramatic experience is competitively price that invites the audience into the world of Elvis through immersive design, state -of -the -art technology, selective use of live actors and musicians, this is an experience where the story technology leads to other ways.
Mixed critic review
Experience has made mixed reviews from critics – Telegraph honored it with One-Star And said that it had “lame and indifferent prasad”, but Citim described it as “incredibly touching” Four star in review,
Timeout gave the show three stars And said that it was “made with care and the concert is pleasant once you accept what it is”.
And not every fan is disappointed with the show. Some of the Tikthalders on Facbook praised the experience as “well acting, innovative, exciting and completely fun”. Another said that it seemed that “most people were having fun”.
But Paiggy Ranigan, who attended the show on Saturday evening and says that she was “really difficult to be saved” for her mother to bear the ticket expenses as a birthday, left in tears and said they felt “it’s nothing as it was advertised or promised”.
Ms. Ranigan is suffering from epilepsy and said she was surprised that no strobe light/flash warning was either orally or on signage.
Lared reality stated that accessibility was at the forefront of their production process and “has created a wide FAQS section about any possible issues on our website that can arise during experience and how to contact us so that we can adjust any changes”.
The Lizzie Ward also visited the experience as she felt that she was looking at a life-shaped Elvis, but described it as a “low-quality dramatic performance” and is trying to get refund “strict”.
Elvis Evolution website no longer refers to any use of holograms in the show, but describes the performance as “state-of-the-art digital technology, live actors and musicians, mental multimedia and heart-pound music”.
“There are some seated scenes and themed times in this Walkthrough Emarsiv experience, providing you a multi-sensitive journey through Elvis’s rags, from the country’s boy to the musical icon,” says it.
Experiences were delayed for several months from the planned launch date of November 2024.
‘Not worth money’
There are several shows a day with a capacity of 160 people per performance, which Shanin, who recently attended a preview show, thinks that there are many people.
He told the BBC that it is immersive in a “sense of being a set”, but it is adamant that it is “not worth the money”.
On Sundays, some shows were canceled for “security reasons” after several security members performed a participant during the gap. In a video posted on social media, an old man can be picked up by security staff and taken out of the room.
The layered reality told the BBC that the man “became orally aggressive towards our employees and despite being asked to stay politely, the behavior increased, the guest clearly stated the intention to continue threats towards his employees and artists.”
Security removed her from the incident when she refused to leave the venue.
A participant told the BBC, “The employees had no option but to take him out so that the show could continue but due to the ruckus it became very hot and the mood to continue the show was not right.”
The BBC understands that some members of the artists expressed concern after the incident. The layered reality said: “The safety and safety of the public and our team is our top priority, and after a fully review and ongoing dialogue with the artists, the show will be scheduled on Wednesday 23 July.”
Leird Reality has previously produced immersive experiences including Gunpowder Plot and Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds.
Elvis Evolution is set to run in Excel London by December. When the first announcement was made, the show was due to London going to Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo, but has not been confirmed.
