President Donald Trump tried to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, closed in his second term in his second term in his second term office with a high-done meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Aankkaran, Alaska.
Both did not reach a peace agreement, but Trump said the meeting was a success and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelanski will visit the White House in Washington on Monday.
Trump said in the true social post in Saturday’s post, “It was determined by all that the best way to end the frightening war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a peace agreement, which will end the war, not just the ceasefire agreement, which is not often,”

If the meeting in Washington with Zelancesi gets good, Trump said that a tripartite meeting will be scheduled between the US, Russia and Ukraine.
Trump described the meeting with Putin as “very hot” and said that he believes that a deal was adjacent.
“I can tell you, the meeting was a very hot meeting,” Trump told Fox News Host Scene Hanti that in A Exclusive interview. “You know, he is a strong man, he is hard as hell on all of him, but the meeting was a very hot meeting between two very important countries, and it is very good when they meet together. I think we are very close to a deal. Now look, Ukraine will have to agree to it.”

Crime Crackdown
On Monday, Trump announced that he would activate about 800 National Guard soldiers and handle the metropolitan police department to address the crime in Washington. The step came after Trump already promoted the federal law enforcement attendance in the country’s capital on Saturday.
“I am deploying the National Guard to help re -establish laws, orders and public security in Washington, DC,” Trump told reporters at a press conference on Monday. “And they are going to allow their work to be done properly.”

Trump initially suggested to make the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington federal and sent the National Guard soldiers to address the crime in August 6 in response to the attack of a former government’s efficiency department (DOGE).
Although a temporary federal acquisition of the Metropolitan Police Department has been warned for emergency situations, Washington officials on Friday filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s move.
Attorney General Brian Shwalab of Washington wrote in Friday’s X post, “The administration is misusing its temporary, limited rights under the law by announcing an acquisition of MPD. “This is the most serious threat to the rule of the house. DC has ever encountered, and we are fighting to stop it.”
Smithsonian Review
The White House sent a letter to Smithsonian on Tuesday, announcing that it would review its museums and perform till the 250th birthday of the United States in 2025.
Trump told reporters on Thursday, “We want the museum to treat our country properly.” “We want their museums to talk in a fair way about the history of our country, not in a way or racist, which is not many of them, not all of them, but many of them.”
Trump said, “Our museums have the responsibility of representing what happened in our country in years. Good and bad,” Trump said. “But what happened in an accurate way in years.”
American history in Smithsonian will not be ‘displayed’ by ‘a waking manner’, says Trump

The White House said in a letter on Tuesday that the review would include social media, exhibition lessons and academic material check “to assess the alignment with tone, historical framing and American ideals.”
The letter states, “The purpose of this initiative is to celebrate American extraordinary, removal of divisive or biased narratives and ensure alignment with the President’s instructions to restore confidence in our shared cultural institutions.”

Smithsonian told Fox News Digital that it would coordinate the matter with the White House, Congress and its governing Board of Regents.
Smithsonian said in a statement, “Smithsonian’s work is in a deep commitment to scholars’ excellence, strict research and accurate, factual presentation of history.”
