BBCUS President Donald Trump says he has ordered two nuclear submarines to “deploy” in suitable areas in response to “highly stimulating” comments by former Russian President Dimitri Medvedev.
In a post on social media, Trump said he acted “Just in the case these silly and inflammatory statements are just more. The words are very important, and often can give rise to unexpected results, I hope it will not be one of those examples”.
He did not say where both submarines were being deployed.
Medvedev, in response to Trump’s ultimatum in recent times, has threatened the US that to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine in Moscow, or faced hard restrictions.
