President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelancesi could end the war with Russia “if he wanted.
Trump’s comments are ahead of his scheduled meeting with Zelansky in Washington, DC on Monday, and several European leaders.
Trump said in a post on the truth social, “The President of Ukraine can end the war almost immediately with Russia, if he wants, or he can continue to fight,” Trump said in a post on truth social. “Remember how it started. Zelancesi’s White House meeting follows Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin at Anoncore on Friday, where Trump abandoned his ceasefire demand and urged a final peace deal.
