Shooting in Butler raised questions about how the suspect was able to climb a nearby building and was able to fire eight shots in Trump, making the secret service examined and its director’s resignation after the incident.
After another incident in September, questions were raised about the agency in which a gunman camped into the bush outside Trump’s golf course before shooting by a secret service agent.
Under the new leadership appointed by Trump, the agency is working to address the failures that were highlighted last year, with Butler shooting. But questions about security still remain, and the gunman’s purpose is not clear.
