Trump removes Biden appointee commissioner after disappointing jobs data

Donald Trump did not like the minor benefits in the jobs that the government reported for July. So he fired the commissioner for labor statistics, which no one had heard until 10 minutes ago.

The Labor Statistics Commissioner Bureau, Erica MCENTARFER did not unilaterally decided that the economy added only 73,000 jobs in July. The figure was produced by hundreds of labor department analysts, following the rules established, before it reached its level.

To claim to the President, without evidence, that it was “rigged” – to make it, and Republicans look bad – do not change the inherent reality. The number was disappointing. This has not changed.

The same goes for amendment of 258,000 jobs in the last two months.

This is incredibly common. This occurred during the biden administration, a below amendment of the estimates of the earlier jobs in a case. This is a standard adjustment that has once become more information available.

But the economy is what it is. It does not change to dump the biden appointment.

There may be a problem with continuous modification, but it has been going on for years. MCENTARFER should have made a more detailed statement.
