After the Democratic MPs filed a suit on being denied access to the facility of Maryland, DHS is clarifying its simple procedures for the members of the Congress to request a visit to its facilities.
According to the Congress’ relationship website of the ICE office, Congress members only need to present a request through email at least seven days before their desired journey.
A department of the Homeland Security Spokesperson explained to Fox News Digital that the seven-day requirement is “to prevent interference with Article II Authority of the President to oversee the functions of the Executive Department.”
“One week is enough to ensure any infiltration on the Constitutional Authority of the President,” the spokesperson said, “To protect the Article II Authority of the President, any request to shorten the time must be approved by the Secretary.”

Commenting on the trial, the National Republican Congress Committee spokesperson Mike Marinela commented from Fox News Digital that Democrats “had gone to ignor the border to target men and women who implemented it.”
