In an attempt to tighten crime in the nation’s capital, President Donald Trump is increasing federal enforcement in Washington, DC, and deploying additional federal law enforcement agents this week.
Supported by an executive order, the White House, concerned federal agencies and local officials will work together to reduce DC crime.
Officials said that DC residents may expect to start in federal enforcement on Friday.

Officials said the deployment would include areas including National Mall, Lafet Park, Union Station, Rock Creek Park and Major Parkway.

The task force has already progressed, using federal enforcement and national park services to increase enforcement, arrest illegal migrants and remove homeless snails from parks and public places.
The operational details were not finalized until Thursday afternoon.
