New Delhi: Congress leader Pawan Khera on Wednesday launched a new attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which included repeated claims of US President Donald Trump – including the latest – that he intercepted a peaceful agreement between India and Pakistan, which after the Pahalgam Terror Attack after India’s retaliation.Regarding the brokerage of a ceasefire on Trump’s latest comments while targeting PM Modi, Khera said, “Trump is coils around Modi like a snake. India has been a good friend, but India has basically charged more tariffs than almost any other country …”A day earlier, during the Operation Sindoor debate in the Lok Sabha, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the PM Modi-led government of using military operations to protect the Prime Minister’s image. He challenged PM Modi to call Trump “False” in Parliament, on the repeated claims after using the trade leverage to end the India-Pakistan struggle. Rahul Gandhi said, “If Narendra Modi also has 50 percent of Indira Gandhi’s courage, he should announce in this House that Trump is lying about the ceasefire,” Rahul Gandhi said.In Parliament, PM Modi strongly responded, saying that no foreign leader had asked India to stop Operation Sindoor, causing Trump’s repeated comments. The PM said, “No world leader asked Operation Sindor to suspend.” His comment came in response to the opposition’s demand that he shows courage and publicly disputes Trump’s statements.
