President Donald Trump on Thursday restored the President’s fitness test in public schools.
For the first time, the 1950s included the health and athleticism of young people, evaluation included sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups and a sit-end-and-calendar test. It also portrayed a competitive component, which recognizes the best artists with the President’s Fitness Award.
The test was discontinued in 2012 and replaced with a fitness program during Barack Obama’s tenure.
BBC’s burn debutman takes a look at the history of the test and what Americans have to say about it.
