New Delhi: Two army personnel lost their lives after a boulder fell on a military convoy vehicle in Ladakh on Wednesday morning, the officials confirmed.The army said in a statement that the incident occurred on July 30, 2025 around 11:30 am when a large rock rotated a rock and killed one of the vehicles in the convoy, the army said in a statement.The two soldiers killed in the incident have been identified as Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh. Both were part of a unit in the region and died due to accident injuries.
Indian Army fire and Fury Corps posted on X (East Twitter), “A boulder from a rock fell on one of a military convoy vehicles in Ladakh, around 1130H on 30 July 2025. Recovery action is in progress.”Later, the Corps paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, saying, “GOC, Fire and Fury Corps and all rank salute Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh, who made the highest sacrifice in the line of duty in Ladakh on 30 July 2025, and it was a deepest offering.”Officials said that the recovery operations are currently going on at the site. The army has not released much information about the convoy movement or other personnel involved.
