Kaden Groves now has 10 Grand Tour Wins
Tadej Pogacar is set to secure his fourth Tour Day France title after maintaining its overall lead, as Kaden Groves won the prevailing phase of this year’s race.
26 -year -old Australian Sprinter Groves claimed his first tour stage win after starting a single attack with 16 km remaining.
Pogakar safely completed the 184.2 km hill platform in Peloton, meaning that, stopping an accident, 26 -year -old Slovenian will sealed his title on Sunday.
The last day of the tour is a procession forum, where traditionally general classification leader is not challenged.
The victory of Groves on Saturday means that he has completed the trilogy of claiming stage win over each of the three grand tour races.
Alpasin-Dissuinink started the 26-year-old tour this year and has become the third rider from the Belgian team to win a stage in the 112th edition of the biggest race of cycling.
Alpacine’s Star Riders Jasper Philipson and Matthew Van Der Pael won the first two phases, before the later injury and illness were forced to leave the tour respectively.
Groves said, “There are a lot of emissions to win here.” “Team, we came here with many different schemes with Jasper and Matthew.
“Finally, I get my opportunities and they have not gone correctly. But today I had super legs. I was just in line and we get a tour stage as a reward.”
