Jasper Philipson will wear a Yellow jersey for the first time in his career as he won one of the 2025 Tour de France.
A sprint finish was expected after the onset and end of a flat stage in Lily, and Alpecin-Dissunink’s leadout train gave 27-year-old in the right position to claim the stage victory.
Belgian rider defeated Binium Gimle by a comfortable margin to claim his 10th stage win on the tour.
“It’s really amazing,” said Philipson. “My 10th win is something that I will never forget.
“The performance of the team was incredible. I think we were there all day. It was very nervous but we knew that it could be our day and we have to be in front and we were in partition there.
“The team made amazing and finally we could simply use our strength and finish it.”
Philipson claimed a four -stage win in 2023 and ended that version of the tour with Green Jersey as a numerology leader.
“I have dreamed [the yellow jersey]”He said.” Already I had a green jersey two years ago, but the yellow jersey is amazing to hang somewhere in my house. ,
