“So we did not know about the link of Roy Barkle in Brathm, until we arrested him and reviewed his phone download.”
Now when asked if he felt that it is a mistake not to see Ipswich and other areas, he said: “I don’t think it was such a big investigation that you have got so much data that you are working: Forensic, house-to-house of all different forms, house-to-house [inquiries]CCTV. ,

Since then, the force voluntarily agreed to review probation service as well as a multi-agency Public Protection System (MAPPA), which will review everything related to Barclay.
DET CE Insply Connick said that it did this to protect the future and because “there were unanswered questions for the family”
He said that due to the review, he was unable to answer the questions whether the force did everything that could do properly and what a lesson was learned.

He hoped that it would be published in the next three or four months.
