To deepen relations between UAE and India’s startup ecosystems, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Shera) and Startup Middle East have signed a detailed thunderbolt memorandum (MoU). The agreement lays the foundation of strategic, cross -border cooperation and includes the construction of a new India startup hub in Sharjah. This initiative is part of a large effort to run Indian entrepreneurs with running innovation, facilitating entry into the market and sharp -growing entrepreneurship ecosystems of Sharjah.
Strategic partnership to bridge startup ecosystem
The MoU was formally signed on 25 August 2025 at Shera’s headquarters in Sharjah. Sara Abduliazes al -Numi, CEO of Cyra, the signator, and the startup were CEO Sibi Sudhakaran, CEO of the Middle East. In the signature, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission Anoop Ambika participated with various officials and representatives of Indian startup companies. The agreement underlines a collaborative roadmap to enhance bilateral startup relations, and is mainly the launch of the Sharjah Center of India Startup Hub (Ish), which is a dedicated platform designed to give Indian entrepreneurs direct access to Sharjah’s innovation resources and opportunities. The center will serve as a bridge connecting Indian startups with an entrepreneurial infrastructure of Sharjah, including its five free zones, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and IBPC Sharjah. The hub is described as a catalyst to enable market expansion and innovation -leading development in both countries.Startup Middle East CEO Sibi Sudhakaran described the new hub as a landmark initiative “permanently inspired by expo 2020 Dubai, designed to showcase the dynamics of the Indian Startup Ecosystem by opening the doors of global opportunities.” He said that Shera’s leadership is important in taking action on this vision: “This hub will serve as a powerful catalyst, connects Indian innovators to Sharjah’s rich entrepreneurship landscape.,
