Thieves are targeting a type of car over all others, with this American vehicle more often stolen than any other make or model, new data shows.
According to a new report by the Highway Los Data Institute, or HLDI, Chevrolet Camero ZL1, which is retail for $ 75,400, was 39 times more theft for all vehicles with the model year 2022 to 2024.

The model is a high performance version of low-cost Chevrolet Camero, with the same 2022–2024 model to the average more than the average 2022–2024 model.

The Camero model has another feature that makes them weak: on-board port that contains vehicle data, such as fuel emissions and performance data, but can also serve as a point of entry for thieves.
“In the case of Camero ZL1, it is very desirable for thieves, and, on top, there is a vulnerability that makes them relatively easy to steal,” Moore said.
