A woman allegedly killed her husband with her lover, and settled her body about 30 km away in the bid to avoid suspicion in Tumkuru district of Karnataka.
The incident occurred on 24 June, according to a NDTV report, in Kadashetihalli village in Tiptur taluk.
The victim was recognized as 50 -year -old Shankaramurthy, allegedly lived alone in a farmhouse. Officials said his wife Sumangala worked as a cook in a girls hostel in Tiptur.
Sumangala, along with her lover Nagaraju, resident of Kardalusante village, conspired to kill Shankaramurthy after objecting to his relationship. The wife allegedly threw chili powder into her husband’s eyes and beat her with a club, NDTV said to the police. Sumangala also pressed her leg against her husband’s neck to kill her.
Both Sumangala and Nagaraju then put the body in a gun sack and dumped it about 30 km away in a farm located in the Turuvekere taluk.
The case came to light when Shankaramurthy was reported to be missing, after which Nonwinkere police started their investigation.
Police discovered chili powder stains in the victim’s farmhouse
According to NDTV reports, the police initially filed a missing complaint in the case, however, after visiting the victim’s farmhouse, they discovered stains with chili powder and indicated a struggle on the victim’s bed.
Subsequently, the police questioned Sumangla and analyzed his call details for evidence. Sumangla eventually confessed to the crime, the police registered a case at Nonwinkere police station. Further investigation of the murder is going on.
The incident occurs on each other’s heels in Telangana, in which a 23 -year -old woman killed her 32 -year -old husband weeks after her marriage. The woman and her lover along with six other people were arrested. The CCTV footage later revealed that the victim, Tejeshwar, Gen had gone out of the house on the morning of 17, with which he knew, but did not return. His body was found near Pionam Town in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
In another similar incident in Meghalaya, an Indore couple went missing on their honeymoon on 23 May. A few days later, the husband’s body, King Raghuvanshi, was found near a gorge. His wife Sonam was surrendering to the police in Gazipur, Uttar Pradesh. The investigation revealed that Sonam had conspired to kill the king along with her lover Raj Kushwaha and others.
