Lucknow: A school van driver in Lucknow was arrested on Saturday for raping a four -year -old girl. They have been booked under the SC/ST Act and POCSO Act. Police investigation revealed that the girl’s mother approached the school manager with her complaint on July 17, but no action was taken. Then he filed a cedar on the same evening.The mother alleged that the school manager had arranged the van that took her child from school. DCP Shashank Singh said that the role of the school manager is under investigation. ACP Anindya Vikram Singh said that the girl’s medical examination was done and her statement was recorded by a magistrate.On July 14, the child returned home in the house, complaining of pain in his private parts. Injuries were detected in a doctor’s visit. On investigation, he revealed the driver’s inappropriate actions while going to school. The mother immediately went to school to file a complaint. However, the school allegedly did not take any action.When the woman faced the van driver, she allegedly threatened to harm the child if the family chased the case. Police suspect that the accused may have targeted other young children as well as in the past. “The investigation is going on, and a team is gathering information from other students who took advantage of the van service.”
