Officials on Wednesday confirmed that a pilot safely evicted a fighter jet near a naval air station in Fresno County, California.
Naval Air Station Lemur, about 37 miles south of the city of Fresno, confirmed that an F -35 jet went down at around 6:30 pm at a ground near West Cadilac and South Dicinson Avenue.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other personnel were affected, Nas Lamor said.
The accident also removed a small grass fire which burned about a dozen acres, Cal Fire told,
NAS Lemooore said that F-35 was connected to VFA-125 when it went down. VFA -125, also known as “Rough Reders”, is a naval squadron that trains pilots to blow F -35.
