His wife Meerdith gave birth to his son Bennett 14 months ago and the Sheffer said that he would leave the game if Golf started impressing his family.
He said, “I am blessed to be able to play golf, but if my golf has ever started impressing my domestic life or it ever affects the relationship with his wife or my son, it’s going to be the last day I play to live here,” he said.
“It is not all and end-end. This is not the most important thing of my life. That is why I wrestle, why is it so important for me?
“Because I will become a great father instead of being a great golf. It is more important to me.”
Scheffler has won three times this year, a runner -up finish and eight other tops in the 15 top -10s.
He is not out of the top 25 this season, not cut since Fedex St. Jude Classic in August 2022.
“Showing in the masters every year, it likes, ‘Why do I want to win this golf tournament so badly? Why do I want to win the open championship so badly?” He said.
“I don’t know because if I win it is going to be terrible for two minutes, then we are going to reach the next week and this is, ‘Hey, you win two big companies this year; how important is it to win the Fedex play-off for you?’
“It seems that you work your whole life to convince a tournament for a few minutes. It lasts for only a few minutes, such a enthusiastic feeling.”
