Police said a 22 -year -old man was arrested on Monday for killing a 20 -year -old woman on Monday, after a argument in a lodge in Masuru, Karnataka, in a relationship by filling an explosive tool in her mouth and triggering her.
According to the police, the incident took place on 23 August in a lodge in Bheria village of Saligama Taluk, Massuru.
“The victim, identified as Rakshita, also known as Darshita, was a resident of Garasanahalli village in the Hunsur taluk of Mysuru. She was married to an AP Subhash, who works as a bus driver in Dubai for 10 years and has a two -year -old girl of the couple.,“An official familiar with the case said that Rakshita has formed a connection with the accused Siddaraju, who is also a distant relative for the last seven years.
According to Deputy Inverted vs Shashi Kumar, Rakshita and Siddaraju investigated on August 23 at the lodge at around 2.45 pm.
“The accused said that he had stepped out of the hotel to bring food. He said that he returned after 20 minutes with food, but found the door closed and no response from inside. After opening the room, the woman was found in a pool of blood. We arrested the accused and started an investigation.”
A senior police officer, aware of the investigation, said that Siddhraju tried to escape after the murder, claiming that his death was due to an accident, but was caught by the local people and handed over to the police.
Investigators also believe that the murder was planned in the first weeks. Siddaraju, who worked as a salesman at a hardware shop in Bethadapura, is believed to have used his familiarity with quarry explosives to collect the device. Kumar said, “He knows how detonators work. He used an old charger to fashion the device about a month before the crime.”
Regarding the motive, the police said that the relationship between Rakshaita and Siddaraju had been sour for five years, and the victim was planning to join her husband Dubai. He allegedly gave Siddharaju to Siddharaju 80,000 and pressurizing him to return the money.
The police have registered a case under Section 103 (murder) of the Indian Judge Code (BNS).
Meanwhile, the Irikkur police station in Kannur district of Kerala has also filed a case of theft against Rakshita on the basis of a complaint filed by her mother -in -law on 22 August.,
“The complainant said that about 30 sovereign gold and On the evening of 22 August, 4 lakhs were found missing from his house. Darshita left the house on the morning of 22 August, stating that she was going to her maternal home near Hunsur in Karnataka. Police officers reached Hunasur, but did not find, ”the officer said.
The official said: “It is not clear whether Darshan has stolen money and gold, although she remains one of the suspects. No other arrests have been made yet.”
