Flights are on hold and the runway is closed at Birmingham Airport (BHX) after “the aircraft incident”.
The nature of the event is not yet clear, but the photos posted on X show a small white aircraft on the runway, with emergency vehicles around it.
A spokesman said that passengers would be informed at the airport already, while it was advised to check the status of their flight before coming on Wednesday due to the journey.
He said: “When we can do, we will continue to issue updates.”
