A frenzy discovery for the remaining people is going on in mid -Texas, including flash floods at least 32 people, including 14 children.
Many were sleeping when the Gwadalup River grew more than 26 feet (8 meters) in less than an hour in the early hours of Friday.
Ker County officials have said that 27 children are missing from a Christian youth camp located on the banks of the river. Some 850 people were rescued.
Weather forecasts suggest that more rains and, potentially, may occur on the horizon for the more flood area.
The floods had mobile houses, summer camps and camps in the most severe hit areas, where many people gathered for the July 4 holiday ceremony.
At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated that he signed an extended disaster declaration to promote search efforts.
He said that the officials would be tireless to ensure that they will find out “every person who has fallen victim to this incident”, saying that “we will stop when the job is complete”.
This is a discovery and rescue mission, officials said, not in the attempt to recover.
He said that rescue teams were going over the Gwadalup river and trying to find those who were washed away by floods.
Most of the rescue has focused on a large all-girl Christian Summer Camp called Camp Mistic.
The camp, where 27 remains missing, is on the banks of the Gwadalup River near Hunt, Texas.
Dan Patrick, Governor of Lieutenant, Texas, told the BBC Radio 4 PM program that out of 27 children missing from Camp Mistic, “many of these girls are young girls under 12 years of age”.
He also said that many more people were likely to be unaware of the entire region, as some holidays were going for the weekend.
In an email to parents of about 750 campers, Camp Mistic said that if they are not directly contacted, their child is considered missing.
Some families have already publicly stated that their children were among those who were found dead.
US President Donald Trump has said that his administration is working closely with local authorities to respond to the Emergency.
Homeland security secretary Christie Nom said that the President was “devastated” from the loss of life and promised full federal support.
NoM joined the Governor Abbott in the press conference on Saturday afternoon and said that the federal government would soon deploy Coast Guard to help in search efforts.
Somewhere else in Central Texas in Travis County, officials say one and two people have been killed and 10 are missing due to floods.
The forecasts have warned that Central Texas may see more floods later this week.
The National Weather Service (NWS) said that this area can see 2 to 5 inches (5 cm to 12 cm) of rain on Saturday.
In some areas, up to 10 inches of rain was possible, which are still getting away from Friday’s Holocaust.
