Elderly woman tied tree, beaten on garbage dispute in Karnataka
A 70 -year -old woman was allegedly tied to a tree and was brutally “attacked” by her neighbor after an argument at garbage disposal in front of her house, police said on Monday.
He said that the incident took place in Gautampura village on the morning of 24 June, but a video of the attack on social media came out only after it went viral, expressed widespread resentment, he said.
According to the police, the elderly woman, known as Huchamma, faced her neighbor, Prema to dump garbage in front of her house. A hot argument began, during which the victim allegedly commented on Prema’s “character”.
A senior police officer said that with the help of two male relatives, the east pulled the elderly woman out of her house, tied her to a tree, and “assaulted” her.
Police said, “The next day a case was registered at Anandapura police station, as soon as the case came into our notice. Pima, who is also a relative of the victim, has been arrested,” the police said.
