A breathing test was clearly found in the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation depot in Pathanamthitta.A bus driver who consumed jackfruit before joining duty failed on Friday at a breathing test at Pandalam KSRTC depot. An officer, who did not desire not to identify, said that another driver brought the cuthat crop from his house to the depot and shared it with his colleagues. In question, the driver consumed a good amount of fruit, the official said.As a routine, he again had to undergo breathing tests. But for its shock, the meter increased from 0 to 10 within seconds. The driver insisted that he was not intoxicated and challenged the authorities to conduct blood tests. Three other staff members also failed the test. Finally, the concerned authorities decided to place the breathing under the scanner.An officer who was assigned to conduct a breathing test showed zero with the meter. However, when he tested the jackfruit after consumed, the meter reading went up, showing that he was drunk, the official said. Officials confirmed that Jackfruit was an unnatural criminal.
