The Dalai Lama said on Wednesday that the 600 -year -old institution of the spiritual head of the Tibetan Buddhists would continue and be identified as the only right to recognize its successor as a body made by him, effectively shut down any role in fixing its rebirth for China.
In 2011, the Dalai Lama had said that he would decide with his 90th birthday, which falls on July 6 this year, whether the Dalai Lama’s institution should continue. Over the years, the Dalai Lama has also said that the Dalai Lama’s organization may be a wound or that its successor can be a woman or someone born outside Tibet.
The Communist Party of China has insisted that the Chinese officials will draw a name from “Golden Kalash” and anoint the next Dalai Lama. The Chinese side states that it is a way to choose the successors of Tibetan Buddhist leaders for a long time, but this method has been rejected outright by the Dalai Lama and his millions of followers.
The Dalai Lama made a video statement on Wednesday, in which it became clear that the 600 -year -old institute would continue after his death and the Gaden Fodrang Trust, which was established by him, would be “the only right” to identify the rebirth of him.
Recalling his comment about the high lamps of Tibetan Buddhist traditions and the Tibetan public in 2011, when he is 90 years old, “Dalai Lama’s institution should continue or not”, the Dalai Lama said that he has “no public discussion on the issue” in the last 14 years “.
However, he said that the leader of the spiritual traditions of Tibet, members of the Tibetan Parliament, NGO, member of the Central Tibetan Administration, NGO, “Buddhist, Mongolia, Russian Federation in the Himalayan region, Buddhist republics and Buddhist republics of the Russian Federation in Asia requested him” weekly for the institution. ,
“In particular, I have received messages from Tibetans in Tibet through various channels, making the same appeal. According to all these requests, I am confirming that the Dalai Lama’s organization will continue,” he said.
The Dalai Lama said, “I reiterate that the Gadenn Fodrang Trust has the only right to recognize the future rebirth; no one else has any such right to intervene in the matter,” said the Dalai Lama. This comment effectively explains any role for China in recognizing their rebirth
The Dalai Lama also said that the process by which his rebirth is to be recognized was clearly established in its statement of 24 September 2011, stating that the responsibility for this would “specially rest with members of the Garden Fodrang Trust”.
Members of this trust should “consult various heads of Tibetan Buddhist traditions and reliable oath-bounded religious guards, who are inseparably connected to the dynasty of Dalai Lamas”, he said. He said, “They should complete the processes of discovery and recognition according to the previous tradition accordingly.”
