An aircraft carrying about 50 people on board crashed in the Far East of Russia on Thursday and local emergency services located the debris.
The ministry of the country’s emergency situations said that the search employees found the burning torso of the aircraft on a hill south of their planned destination in Tinda city, located near the Russian border with China.
The images of the crash site broadcast by the Russian state media show the scattered debris among the dense forest, surrounded by smoke plums.

An initial air inspection of the site suggested that no one was left, Russia’s Interfax News Agency said, citing anonymous sources in emergency services. Its sources also said that there was a difficult weather situation in the area.
The office of the Transport Prosecutor said that the aircraft tried to get a second approach, while trying to get into contact with it.
Forty passengers, including five children, as well as six crew members were boarding the AN -24 passenger aircraft, as it was traveling from the city of Tibba from the city of BlagoVeschensk on the Russian -Chinese border, the regional government said.

The Ministry of Russia’s emergency situations reported that 48 people were riding on a flight, operated by Angara Airlines in Siberia. The cause of discrepancy was not immediately clear.
