A former army captain and two father of two are fighting for their lives after being killed by a boat propeller while snoring in the Bahamas during a family holiday.
On June 30, the Brent Slal of Protper, Texas was snorkeling in clean water near the coast of Exuma, when “the boat came out from anywhere – and never stopped,” his wife, Whitney Slal told the Dallas Outlet. WFAA,
“They know they hit her. They saw her snorkeling,” she said. “And they closed.”

The 42 -year -old Brent was “hit the right under the buttocks and legs and just cut it there,” Whitney recalled the outlet.
He listened to his cry with water: “We listen to Brent shouting,” Help me, help me, help me. ” We did not realize that he had hit the boat. ,
Family, friends and good Samreen jumped into action and thrown Brent out of the water.
Whitney wrote in a Facebook post, “What happened last night is still almost impossible in the process. Despite many 911 calls, no ambulance has ever come.” “At that moment of chaos and fear, it was our neighbors and stranger on the beach who stepped. You caught us … quite literally saved Brent’s life and I will never forget it.”

On July 1, he was taken to a local hospital before paying the family to fly to Miami Hospital. Brent performed a four -hour operation.
Whitney shared the boundary of injuries with the outlet, saying the devastating cuts were so deep that doctors could not stitch their wounds because they are so deep and packing them instead.

“We are lucky that he is alive,” Whitney told the outlet. “And there is no way that they should be able to get away with it.”

An update on Sunday, Whitney wrote on Facebook that Brent was transferred to an intermediate ICU.
“A step in the right direction. Praise God,” he wrote. “Please keep praying!”

Brent was an infantraman in the regular army from May 2005 to April 2011, confirming the Fox News Digital by an army spokesperson.
He posted in Iraq from May 2007 to July 2008 and was a captain when he left.
His awards include Bronze Star Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Campaign Star, Terrorism Service Medal on Global War, Army Service Ribbon, Foreign Service Ribbon, Ranger Tab, Specialist Infantrymain Badge, Air Assament Bade and Parashootist Badge.
